Matsuura Machinery USA Undergoes Leadership Change

As President David Hudson retires after 10 years with the organization, current Vice President of Sales and Marketing Billy Bogue will take over the leadership role of the company.

Matsuura Machinery USA announced the planned retirement of President, David Hudson after 10 years with the organization. Current Vice President of Sales and Marketing Billy Bogue will succeed Hudson as acting president.

A leader with a 35-year history in the industry and 10 with Matsuura, Hudson is said to have been instrumental in driving growth while maintaining a high level of strong customer relationships and innovative solutions.

“I’m proud of all we have accomplished at Matsuura USA and of the talented and dedicated people I’ve had the pleasure to work alongside,” Hudson says. “It has been a huge privilege to have the opportunity to lead this great company. I remain committed to working closely with the board and Matsuura’s acting president, Billy Bogue, for a smooth transition.”

With a career spanning nearly 40 years, Bogue joined Matsuura in 2021 as national sales manager. Soon after, he was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing.

“We have every confidence in Billy as he takes on the role and responsibilities of acting President, which is the result of a thoughtful and deliberate long-term succession planning process. Billy brings a wealth of strategic and executive leadership experience, and we are pleased to transition the role of acting president to Billy,” Matsuura Corporation President Katsutoshi Matsuura says.
