Siemens PLM (Plano, Texas) has agreed to acquire Camstar Systems (Charlotte, North Carolina), a supplier of manufacturing execution systems (MES) software. The acquisition will broaden Siemens’ integrated product development and production automation solutions for the electronics, semiconductor and medical device industries, complementing Siemens’ existing vertical industry offerings. Camstar will become part of Siemens PLM.
