Zeiss Opens Metrology Service Center
The new facility offers services and technology to customers in the Northeast United States.
Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology LLC brings programming and measuring services to the Boston area with the grand opening of its new service center in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
The company will offer contract measuring services, support, training and project management for customers in the Northeast United States, says Al Chiasson, general manager of Carl Zeiss Metrology Services Inc. The center will house various coordinate measuring machines including the Contura and Prismo navigators for high-speed scanning and accuracy. The facility will also feature the Metrotom 800, a computed tomography system designed for 3D metrology of small, complex, low-density parts made of plastic, composite materials or ceramic.
Doug Fitzgerald, manager of the service center, says that it will allow the company to control and analyze quality data by connecting machines through PiWeb software.
