Additive Manufacturing System for Serialized Production
Eastec 2017: Renishaw's RenAM 500M additive manufacturing system is suitable for serialized production of metal components.
Renishaw's RenAM 500M additive manufacturing system is suitable for serialized production of metal components. The system uses powder-bed fusion technology to build complex metallic components directly from CAD. Based around Renishaw's optical systems and control technology, the AM system is said to offer efficient design, safety features and automated capabilities. The system is well-suited to industrial production, and each unit can be dedicated to a single material type for lights-out manufacturing.
The company also highlights an update to its QuantAM build file preparation software, designed specifically for Renishaw laser powder-bed fusion systems for metal additive manufacturing.
