Biostable Coolant Has Low Foaming Properties
Etna Products has released a water-miscible fluid for high-pressure coolant (HPC) systems: Masterall 1300. This low-foam coolant has been tested in the field on multi-metal machining operations with HPC systems at 1,000 psi.
In addition to the low foaming properties, the coolant has biostability, emulsion stabilities in various water qualities, ferrous rust protection and aluminum stain inhibition. It does not contain chlorinated alkanes, Dicyclohexylamine (DCHA), secondary amines or triazine.
Reducing cutting fluid use offers the chance for considerable cost savings. Tool life may even improve.
