The Caddy Arc 151i and 201i single-phase DC/CC power supplies, which are designed primarily for SMAW (Stick), feature an adjustable arc force that sets the intensity of the arc to ensure weld quality. Other features include an adjustable hot start that is said to make it easy to strike the electrode as well as the ArcPlus II feature, which controls the arc to improve welding characteristics, simplify use, produce better quality welds and reduce cleanup.
The caddy machines feature inverter technology designed for welding quality and performance. The impact-resistant polymer and aluminum casing is light and can withstand harsh environments, the company says. The machines are built in accordance with IP23 for outdoor use, even in the rain. Also, they are equipped with a power factor correction (PFC) circuit that allows the machine to perform a full range of functions on a 16A fuse, protects against fluctuating mains voltage and makes the machine safer to use with a generator, the company says.
The caddy family is equipped with large cable connectors for durability. Large heat sinks keep the machine cool for increased life. The sinks also ensure that the machine’s small size does not compromise the cooling of vital internal components and keep sensitive internal parts clean and dust-free.
