The Victory CNC quick-change gang tool from Dorian Tool is designed to fully automate any programmable toolroom lathe in the simplest and most economical way possible, the company says. The gang tool holds as many as 12 tools in a linear setup, eliminating the need to stop the machine and change tools after each operation. No wiring or interfacing is required.
The gang tool slides over the toolpost dovetail like a common quick-change toolholder and is locked in place by pulling the toolpost locking handle. The anti-rotation pins prevent radial movement of the toolpost during heavy drilling, boring, turning and threading operations. If a user removes the gang tool, the toolpost is left on the machine, ready for shaft work or toolroom work.
Center height of all tools can be simultaneously adjusted using the height adjustment screw, minimizing setup/change-over time. Also, the tool is supplied with a through-coolant system and all required coolant fittings.
