CNC Simulation and Optimization Software Enables Customization
CGTech's 7.3 version of its Vericut CNC machine simulation and optimization software is designed to offer more customization of the user interface.
CGTech's 7.3 version of its Vericut CNC machine simulation and optimization software is designed to offer more customization of the user interface. Users can compile a “favorites” menu of commonly used folders and files that can be dragged and dropped into a project. “edge display” option in the machine simulation screen analyzes models and displays edges without affecting simulation speed, the company says. During simulation, users can specify “stop at” events such as collisions, warnings and tool changes and manage these events in the NC program dialog. Enhanced collision algorithms are said to provide faster collision checks.
Additional updates include constant gouge-check simulation, automatic saving for Vericut Reviewer files, new CAD/CAM interfaces for Surfcam and SolidWorks, improved SpacePilot mouse and navigator motion, new icons available in different sizes, and user-selectable color themes.
