Hardinge Workholding has expanded its range of products for workholding in Swiss-type machining with additional collets and guide bushings. The company now offers P16C, P20C and P25C collets, along with corresponding P16D, P20D and P25D guide bushings for the Nomura line of CNC Swiss-type lathes. Available in round, hexagon and square sizes, the line of collets and guide bushings will cover nearly all Nomura Swiss-type turning machine models, the company says. Additionally, Hardinge offers long-bearing carbide guide bushings including the TD25, TD25S, TD26, TD32, TD32S and 0201, which were previously only available as special orders. The round guide bushings are carbide-lined to keep stock clean and unmarked. Their extended length provides the additional contact surface required for long parts, the company says.
