Available from Exsys Tool, the Eppinger gear hobber attachment for live turret stations enables single-setup, single-operation gear cutting for the generation of splines as well as spur and helical gears. The attachment’s adjustable toolholding system eliminates the need to rough gears on one machine and then transfer them to another for hobbing. To compensate for different types of grooves and pitches in splines and gears, users can adjust the vernier dial to the applicable settings.
