The Hypertherm Powermax 45 mechanized plasma head is available for MultiCam’s 3000 and 6000 series CNC plasma machines. The plasma head is mounted next to an HPR 130/260 XD high-definition Hypertherm torch. Each head is independently programmable, enabling the CNC plasma system to cut gague steel using low amperage, inexpensive consumables to tackle heavy-plate steel with the precision of high-definition plasma, the company says. The system is suited for job shops and production facilities cutting a range of materials.
