The retention knobs improve tooling performance, according to the company.

High Torque retention knobs increase tooling accuracy and tolerances, improve tool life 15 to 300 percent, improve tool performance and reduce or eliminate vibration and chatter, the company says. They are also designed to improve finishes, reduce or eliminate costly secondary finishing processes, reduce setup times, extend spindle and machine life, and reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
