Jergens’ three additions to the range of OK Vise low-profile edge clamps include the Multi-Rail (MR), Knife Grip and hydraulic kits.

The MR is the general-purpose, multi-configurable workholding system that is capable of holding complex workpieces (small and large) and often multiple in the same location. It mounts to the company’s QLS grip system, a two-piece aluminum column that is said to open up further machining opportunities including connections with both Fixture Pro and Ball Lock.

Knife Grip low-profile edge clamps are said to improve production and provide solutions for difficult applications. The jaws are designed with serrated teeth to penetrate into softer materials and prevent part movement because of the load imposed by machining forces.

Hydraulic actuation kits pair the clamping system with hydraulic workholding. Repeatable clamping forces and improved ergonomics are two benefits for high-production applications, according to the company. The clamps are small in size yet provide a clamping force of as much as 150 kN.
