Danray Products’ heavy duty steel lathe chuck shield is designed for lathes and similar machines. The shield provides a safeguard between individuals and point-of-operation or rotating hazards, and protects operators from flying chips, sparks, coolant, lubricant and other particles. It hinges left and rests at a 30-degree angle above the headstock to ease changing of the chuck or workpiece. The front portion of the shield can also be hinged up to change the workpiece. The operator doesn’t need to reach over the chuck to move the shield in and out of position.
