Featured in 13-oz packaging, the Accu-Lube stick is a natural-based lubricant that is safe for use with various metals. The lubricant targets heat buildup in belt, disc or wheel grinding operations.  It can be applied to the tool prior to start-up and does not need to be diluted with another material.

Since the product is biodegradable and non-toxic, the need for cleanup and disposal is virtually eliminated. The company notes that the lubricant stick does not cause contamination or discoloration of products.

  • The Case For Supplementary Fire Suppression

Systems designed to put out fires inside machine tools can provide a level of protection that external systems such as overhead sprinklers cannot. They cost a small percentage of the investment represented by today’s CNC machines and certainly far less than repairing major damage caused by a fire.

  • Alcohol-Based Coolant Offers Environmentally Friendly Machining

This micro-volume coolant delivery system uses ethanol as the cooling medium for non-ferrous workpieces. The ethanol evaporates after it cools the cutting tool, so no residue is left behind on machined workpieces.

  • Troubleshooting Your Way Oil System

An expensive lesson that many shops learn too late is that the automatic oil system on their CNC machine tool may not be completely automatic. Since the automatic oil system is designed to give a warning when the oil tank is empty, many machinists simply assume all is well if the alarm doesn't go off.
