Marposs’ Duo electronic display unit features a small touch screen unit for display and storage of measuring data acquired through one or two sensors.

Marposs Duo electronic display unit is small, featuring a 4.3" touch screen unit for display and storage of measuring data acquired through one or two sensors. The unit is especially useful for manual applications when only a few measurements are needed on the shop floor. Featuring two sensor input channels, it can simultaneously display two measurements in either analog of digital. The system is portable, easy to configure and provides clear visualization of measurement status, according to the company.

The unit is designed to work with the company’s LVDT/HVT manual gauges, such as bore gauges M1 and M1 Star, snap gauges M3 Star, ring gauges M4 and M4 Star and Red Crown/Red Crown2 displacement sensors with a measuring range of as much as ± 5 mm. Data collected can be exported through the USB port or the optional Fieldbus port.

  • Predictive Maintenance And Machine Tool Calibration Techniques

Here are some of the tools and techniques for making sure machine tools stay at peak performance levels.

  • Surface Finish: A Machinist's Tool. A Design Necessity.

Simple "roughness" measurements remain useful in the increasingly stringent world of surface finish specifications. Here's a look at why surface measurement is important and how to use sophisticated portable gages to perform inspections on the shop floor.

  • Measuring Part Geometry On The Shop Floor

Measuring workpiece dimensions is relatively simple for machine operators but measuring workpiece geometry which involves more complex comparisons of part shape to an ideal shape--is now also practical on the shop floor. The gaging equipment for doing this is coming down in price while becoming easier to use.
