Available from Rocklin Manufacturing, The Rocklinizer Model 800 metal impregnator deposits and impregnates wear-resistant electrode materials to metal surfaces for wear prevention and maintenance. Featuring a rotary applicator for fast application, the machine is equipped with touch-panel controls and a digital readout for deposit thickness and applicator speed.
Three types of electrodes are available for use with the machine. Tungsten carbide electrodes can be applied to high speed steel and other metals to prolong life and reduce wear. Titanium carbide electrodes surface-seal carbide to prevent chipping. “Rockhard” electrode material is applied to restore tolerances to undersized tools, for maintenance, and to provide gripping surfaces. Deposits are available from 0.0002" to 0.007" in a single application, controllable within 0.0001" by machine setting.
