The Multus U3000 imultitasking two-saddle CNC lathe provides a platform for long-term rigidity and accuracy and can machine process-intensive parts, such as those in aerospace, automotive, oil/energy, medical and construction.

Okuma America Corp.’s Multus U3000 is a general purpose, multitasking two-saddle CNC lathe designed to reduce setup time, improve accuracy and keep non-cutting time to a minimum. The lathe provides a platform for long-term rigidity and accuracy and can machine process-intensive parts, such as those in aerospace, automotive, oil/energy, medical and construction.

The lathe has a maximum machining diameter of 25.6” and bed length of 39.4” and is equipped with a Okuma’s Intelligent Technologies and a variety of efficiency features. Optional five-axis machining is available for complex milling operations. It also comes equipped with the OSP-P300 control with a 19” monitor and the OSP suite and ECO suite applications.

Methods Seeks the Perfect Machining Environment

With its new Precision Center, Methods Machine Tools is locking down environmental variables that could impact machining processes. Why? So North American manufacturers will no longer need to send parts, tooling and material to Japan or somewhere else to have intricate, sensitive or challenging test cuts performed.
