The Adept Quattro s800H parallel robot from Adept Technologies is designed for high speed packaging, manufacturing, assembly and material handling applications. According to the company, it offers the same advanced control algorithms and design as previous models in the Quattro family. Combined with a 1,600-mm work envelope, the overhead-mount robot provides smooth motion, high throughput and the ability to reach a large workspace.

The four-arm design reduces power consumption compared to alternate kinematic solutions, the company says. The robot is powered by compact controls and embedded amplifiers, which reduce cycle times and improve footprint efficiency.
