Portable System Combines Software, Gage for Automated Inspection
Verisurf Software’s CMM Master is a programmable, automated shopfloor inspection system combining Verisurf software with the Equator comparative gage.
Verisurf Software’s CMM Master is a programmable, automated shopfloor inspection system combining Verisurf software with the Equator comparative gage. This lightweight, portable system runs on single-phase power with no need for compressed air supply. Configurable for the shop floor or the quality assurance lab, the company says that the system can increase throughput and reduce scrap rates.
CMM Master enables automated part programming via CAD or manual joystick inspection in “teach mode.” Users can align parts with multiple methods, such as simple 3-2-1 feature fitting iterative best fit. The system offers full simulation and collision detection for measurement routines including probe scanning. For flexible reporting, the system can automatically generate an AS9102 first article inspection report. Inspection data can be exported to other presentation formats including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe 3D PDF Viewer.
Verisurf is a coordinate measurement CAD system for 3D surface modeling, traditional 2D drafting and 3D model associative GD&T. The software can open any CAD model and can even use STL files to create coordinate measurement machine inspection plans to automate the inspection of 3D-printed prototypes and additively manufactured parts.
