ITI Tooling’s Varia quick-change tooling system is designed to offer a fast and safe way to exchange tools on CNC lathes. Swappable heads, static or driven, can be rapidly exchanged in as little as 20 sec., drastically reducing setup and tool change times. Using a standard Allen wrench, a half turn to the left with a cam-lock device releases a swappable head, and a half turn to the right secures a new one. A toolholder that was formerly dedicated to one operation now becomes a variety of tool styles. The quick-change tooling is available for VDI and BMT bolt-on style tooling.
