Star CNC Machine Tool’s SR-20RIV Swiss-type automatic lathe features a full B axis and a three-spindle attachment for machining complicated components in one operation. Its 27-position tool station can accommodate as many as 41 tools. The lathe features a specially designed toolpost for backworking and is equipped with Y-axis control function with eight tool positions. The main and subspindles use built-in motors and sensors for improved indexing accuracy, while a motion control system ensures an uninterrupted toolpath. The machine is suited for applications such as deep-hole drilling and full B-axis machining.
