Exact Metrology, Inc. has added a Leica Geosystems HDS6000 scanning system and software to their long-range scanning equipment line. The company says that this portable high-definition surveying high-speed laser scanner increases long-range scanning service capabilities including structural analysis.
This  portable scanning technology allows the user to take detailed snapshots of any structure, plot of land, plant or process operation with millimeter accuracy, says the company.

The HDS6000 features a long ambiguity interval, allowing laser returns up to 79 m (259 ft.) away to be analyzed and calculated. Additionally, the maximum scan density has been doubled, increasing the range at which smaller objects and targets can be accurately modeled.
