Toyoda Americas’ LA-250YS multitasking turning center is said to feature highly productive multi-axis turning capabilities because of the high-performance spindle, modulized structure and box guideway design.

The machine features spindle speeds as fast as 3,500 rpm, handling complex machining by combining high-speed synchronization with precision aligned spindles—automating rapid part transfer, according to the company. The center includes a multitasking sub-spindle, a 15-station milling turret and an upgraded horsepower on the Z-axis with a thrust of as much as 7,691 pounds. Additional specifications include a swing of as much as 23.6" (600 mm), a turning diameter of as much as 14.6" (370 mm) and a 30-hp/20-hp (22kW/15kW) spindle drive motor with a 10" chuck on the main spindle and an 8" chuck on the sub-spindle.
