Validate And Compare 3D CAD Models

Developed for manufacturers that rely on 3D models for product specifications, Kubotek USA’s Validation Tool is designed to assure manufacturers that different revisions of the same CAD model that appear the same visually are truly geometrically identical. According to the company, this can prevent errors resulting from unintentional edits or translation errors when a model is passed between engineering groups.

 

The software’s report-generation capabilities include simple pass/fail indicators, a tamper-proof validation certificate and a detailed listing of any differences found. The first set of tests engages the company’s custom Face Logic technology to analyze the actual geometric data types found in solid models based on a specified tolerance. Additional tests compare mass properties results and count geometry and topology.
