Range of Laser, Sheet Metal Software for Receiving Updates
Jetcam announced updates to its entire range of core applications, which includes iOS/Android apps and CrossTrack for sheet metal.
Jetcam announced updates to its entire range of core applications, available free to existing customers with current maintenance contracts. The releases are part of its continuing move into total automation and Industry 4.0 support for the sheet metal and composite manufacturing sectors.
Jetcam Expert v20 includes Jet-Cut, enabling the laser cutting of complex grids of holes using artificial intelligence so that the user does not have to specify which areas to apply logic. It applies logic on any suitable geometry, enabling users to import a CAD file and automatically apply profiling information and nest components in seconds. Jet-Optimizer optimizes the sequence for cutting internal holes to minimize machine movements while trying to avoid travel over already cut holes.
Jetcam Orders Controller (JOC) version 3 includes dozens of feature enhancements over its predecessor. It includes a batch nest report, completely redesigned nests screen and integration into the company’s Line Commander line management software.
Version 5 of the composite manufacturing suite CrossTrack is available for the sheet metal industry, delivering enterprise-level tracking of material, complete automation of the nesting process, order management and shop floor nest scheduling. Using MS SQL Server, CrossTrack provides real-time location information on raw material, assemblies and individual parts in addition to integrating into Jetcam Expert. Tight integration and data exchange with existing systems such as MRP is also provided.
CrossTrack also benefits from the launch of mobile versions of its Material Transfer Station (MTS). Available in both iOS and Android formats, the application enables users to scan the barcode of material or parts to facilitate location transfers or obtain information. The apps themselves are free to download and use customers’ existing MTS licenses.
