A Fadal machine with a 527F control

New Control Improves Feed Rates on Remanufactured Legacy Machine
Replacing the original 25-year-old control on an otherwise sound remanufactured VMC enabled a moldmaker to increase feed rates, cut cycle times and increase profitability.

Larry and Rodney de Caussin with the SMTCL HMC80 machining center

HMC Saves Floor Space, Increases Production Capacity
When Calmotion LLC's production capacity fell behind demand for its rotary products, it added horizontal machining with the SMTCL HMC80 for reduced operations and setup times.

Calmotion TR-7 tilting rotary table

Tilting Rotary Table Enables Five-Axis Machining
Calmotion’s TR-7 tilting rotary table enables three-axis vertical machining centers to achieve five-axis machining of complex workpieces and reduce setup time, increasing productivity.

retrofit control

Device Rejuvenates Legacy Control System
An old but still very usable vertical turning center became easier to operate, and actually realized more cutting time, thanks to a control retrofit that cost only hundreds of dollars.

Controller For Virtually All CNCs
Calmotion says its Lancnc controller provides fast drag-and-drop, bi-directional file transfers between virtually any CNC and PC on a network without additional software. Also, the controller uses a 2-GB secure digital (SD) card to store programs at the CNC, allowing access to program information without using network resources.

Rotary Table Absorbs High Shock Loads
Calmotion’s 5C rotary table is pre-wired for Fanuc and Fadal CNCs. The rotary table is designed to absorb higher shock loads—especially axial loads—and eliminate leaky seals, thereby increasing its life, the company says. The table features heat-treated steel and throated helix gears which increase the contact area.

Controller For Fadal CNCs
The LANCNC-FAD controller allows drag-and-drop, bi-directional file transfers between Fadal CNCs and network servers without additional software. The controller uses a Secure Digital (SD) card to capture programs from the network server, allowing drip-feed programs to continue even if the network crashes. The

USB Reader Inputs CNC Programs From A Flash Drive
USB flash memory devices (also called flash drives or data sticks) are a convenient way to move files from a laptop to a desktop PC, from a camera to a PC and so on. They can also be handy for storing and moving part programs for CNC machines on the shop floor.
