Slater Tools Inc. now produces a series of external rotary broaches that are compatible with its Swiss-Type internal rotary broach toolholders. Commonly used to manufacture high-precision screws, the broaches can take part in machining bone screws and orthopedic-type device screws, such as those used on pacemaker assemblies and hip-replacement assemblies. Custom sizes and standard hexagonal forms as small as 1.5 mm are available. Diameter sizes ranging from 0.056" to 1" are offered as well.
