The winner of 10 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships says it has long used Hexagon products to for inspection and assembly of auto body, chassis and engine components for both pre-race adjustment and post-race evaluation.
Through a multi-year partnership agreement, Hexagon Metrology (North Kingstown, Rhode Island) has become the official provider of dimensional metrology products and services to NASCAR team Hendrick Motorsports (Concord, North Carolina).
The winner of 10 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships says it has long used Hexagon products to for inspection and assembly of auto body, chassis and engine components for both pre-race adjustment and post-race evaluation. The official partnership—the first between the two companies—expands Hendrick’s in-house capabilities with a number of additional measuring systems. These include Romer Absolute Arms, GridLok portable measuring arm volume expansion systems and Brown & Sharpe CMMs.
“Hexagon’s Romer arm and the other tools they’ve provided and taught us how to use have been significant contributors to our performance, repeatability and consistency from week to week,” says Doug Duchardt, Hendrick Motorsports vice president of development.
