The small-footprint FastGrind CNC tool and cutter grinder is designed for high-speed resharpening of tools ranging to 9.4" in diameter using custom iGrind software. The machine is said to offer high positioning accuracies in all five mechanical axes, plus an additional four software axes. Linear axes are ballscrew-driven and the two rotary axes are direct-driven.
The machine sharpens drills, step drills, end mills, burrs, profile tools, routers and special tools using a double-ended HSK40 wheel spindle to increase flexibility and reduce setup time. It features a maximum 8" wheel diameter as well as a standard part-probing system and optional tool inspection software package.
Centerless Grinding Machine Uses Angular Plunging
The grinding machine features a grinding spindle mounted on maintenance-free hybrid roller bearings for high peripheral speeds of as much as 150 m/sec., and in combination with the machine’s CBN high-speed technology, cycle times and setup times can be significantly reduced.
