Collaborative Robot Software Provides Real-Time Data
The version 5.2 expansion of Rethink Robotics’ Intera software platform provides manufacturers with real-time data insights with its Sawyer collaborative robots.
The version 5.2 expansion of Rethink Robotics’ Intera software platform provides manufacturers with real-time data insights with its Sawyer collaborative robots. The product gives operators and line managers data at a glance, including cycle time, part count, speed and force.
The Insights feature displays key performance indicators via a customizable dashboard on the robot’s onboard display, so it is accessible on the factory floor. The same charts are also fed back to the Studio platform, providing visibility to other members of the team. The feature is designed to help drive informed production decisions and save time and money by eliminating the need to invest in or create another data collection system.
The release also includes additions to Sawyer’s vision capabilities, giving manufacturers the option to integrate an external camera. This enables them to optimize cycle time with improved vision or leverage in-house vision systems.
Intera 5.2 will be available for download on all existing Sawyer robots and will come standard on all new robots.
