The Heavy Duty Dry Vac from Exair is a rugged industrial vacuum cleaner designed to vacuum high volumes of dry materials in less time than ordinary vacuums. Its wear-resistant design makes it suitable for the cleanup of abrasive materials such as steel shot, garnet, metal chips and sand, as well as general-purpose applications. It operates at 82 dBA, half the noise of electric vacuums, and features no motors and impellers to clog or wear out, reducing maintenance, the company says.
Powered by compressed air, the vacuum attaches to a 30-, 55- or 110-gallon open-top drum with a lever-lock drum lid. Its 1 ½" (38-mm) ID polyethylene hose measures 10 ft. (3 m) long and is static-resistant. Surrounding air is kept clean by the reusable filter bag that traps particles when vacuuming dusty materials. Additional features include a hose hanger, shutoff valve, 20-ft. (6-m) compressed air hose with swivel fittings, pressure gage and a heavy-duty aluminum chip wand.
