Pratt Burnerd International, a division of 600 UK, offers the Gripsafe chuck force measurement tool designed to accurately measure and record chuck gripping forces within seconds. Suitable for use on all three- and two-jaw chucks, this product was developed to help operators comply with health and safety legislation, allowing them to ensure that their chucks remain fit for purpose. The tool accurately measures static and dynamic chuck gripping forces up to 100 kN per jaw at a rotational speed up to a maximum of 6,000 rpm. To use the Gripsafe, the operator simply clamps the unit in the chuck and then runs the tests for instant results. The unit’s integrated software transmits data over Wi-Fi for collection, analysis and storage as CSV files suitable for printing, including automatic time stamping.
