Available from GF Machining Solutions, the Mikron HSM 500 MoldMaster high-speed milling machine was designed with die/mold makers in mind. As an all-in-one production system, the machine’s features and capabilities enable the production of a range of die/mold components, from 58-Rc steel mold cores to hot pressing dies, even sinker EDM electrodes for intricate mold cavities. The XYZ travels measure 19.69" × 17.72" × 13.78", and the work table can handle parts as heavy as 440 lbs. This machine is equipped with a 42,000-rpm, 17.43-hp HSK-E40 spindle.
