The company’s Version 7 software package is designed for automatic blank preparation when used with the company’s Model 2150 CNC DedTru Grinding system. The software enables the operator to enter the basic tool characteristics of the shape to be ground and the machine’s control will automatically calculate the require wheel geometry, dressing the locations and grinding parameters. The software will also calculate the required offsets and determine the most efficient method for grinding the blank, the company says. According to the company, navigation of the software is easy using the 15" high-resolution touch screen display. Another feature of the software is a Real-Time 3D parts simulator, which enables an operator to view blanks prior to beginning grinding.
