Absolute Machine Tools Partners with ServiceMax for MRO Services
The partnership enables customers in Absolute’s Preventive Maintenance Program to use ServiceMax’s app to ease machine servicing.
Absolute Machine Tools Inc. (Lorain, Ohio) has partnered with ServiceMax, a field service software solution provider, to expand its ISO-certified Preventive Maintenance Program by offering customers answers to service-related questions at any time. The ServiceMax cloud-based solution gives engineers and technicians access to a facility’s plant maintenance plan at all times via an iPad or Windows-based PC app, enabling real-time service solutions.
Absolute’s preventive maintenance plans help customers avoid unplanned downtime by evaluating machinery and recommending repairs and machine maintenance at regularly scheduled intervals. ServiceMax’s software enables technicians and facility managers to manage the entire work process, from work order to recalls to service, applying preset data collection functions and usable metrics to track how many applications have been run on a given machine, part replacement patterns and previous service. The technology is designed to enable technicians to quickly determine issues without a site visit.
