Hyundai-WIA America (Carlstadt, New Jersey) has entered into a technology partnership with NASCAR team Michael Waltrip Racing (MWR) of Cornelius, North Carolina. Under the partnership, MWR will receive exclusive use of two Hyundai-WIA vertical machining centers to machine critical components on its stock cars. MWR was previously a Hyundai-WIA customer and has purchased several of the company’s machining centers in the past. The partnership will enable the racing team to design, manufacture and test components quickly for a competitive advantage on the racetrack.
