Stratasys (Minneapolis, Minnesota) has announced the winners of its ninth annual Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge. The global contest encourages students to submit an innovative product design, redesign of an existing product, or an original work of art or architecture. Designs were evaluated by a team of independent industry judges based on their creativity, usefulness, part integrity and aesthetics. The top three entrants in each of three categories—middle and high school engineering, college engineering, and art and architecture—were awarded scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500. Photos and descriptions of the winning entries are available at stratasys.com/industries/education/extreme-redesign/winners.
