The systems automatically detect and extinguish fire inside the machine to reduce damage, repair costs and downtime.
The system is designed for ease of installation on a variety of CNC or EDM machines and will not interfere with machine operation or maintenance, the company says. The systems are said to be compatible with CO2 and environmentally friendly “clean” fire suppressing agents, which are non-conductive, non-corrosive, and leave no residue on the machine or workpiece and will not contaminate expensive oils or lubricants.
