The Crownloc Plus drill from Seco Tools provides large-diameter holemaking capabilities in tough-to-machine materials used in oil and gas components. The drill features exchangeable crowns and requires no regrinding or resetting. It is designed with a high-strength locking interface, polished body, and deep, wide flutes. According to the company, the geometry has been optimized to improve chip formation as well as entering capability with increased wear resistance. The drill is available in diameters ranging from 12.00 to 19.99 mm and can achieve depth of cut three to five times the diameter.
