The Hardinge Grinding Group offers the UltraGrind 2000 CNC grinding machine with 2-m capacity. The grinding machine is manufactured by Jones & Shipman, a Kellenberger Company, which is a subsidiary of Hardinge.

Based on Jones & Shipman’s smaller-capacity model, the UltraGrind 2000 features a new wheelhead design to provide a range of external and internal grinding spindle combinations. According to the company, users can use these combinations to effectively create a custom machine without the typical cost and build time. The wheelhead features wheel sizes as large as 500-mm in diameter by 100 mm, and wheel spindle power as high as 11 kW.

The grinding machine is designed for complex precision parts, particularly in small- to medium-size volumes, that require maximum flexibility. It is suitable for aerospace, defense, energy, toolroom, motorsport, automotive volume production and general engineering applications.
