Mayfran International says its Hydrostatic Paper Filter combines high levels of chip removal with coolant filtration to improve the productivity of the high-performance metalcutting and finishing machine. The fully automatic coolant system is a deep-bed-type filter that utilizes a side-sealing method to prevent chip and particulate bypass. According to the company, the filter design provides a clean and continuous supply of coolant to the machine tool without any downtime.
The product range can process 100 to 1,000 liters per minute of water-based emulsions and neat oils containing both metallic and non-metallic particles. The versatility of the media selection (filter paper) enables various filtration levels for the right degree of filtration for any given machining center when changing to a new part, process or material, the company says.
The compact filter design conserves and minimizes floor space and can be configured to meet various machining requirements with standard modular options. Additionally, the company says the filter minimizes operational cost by increasing machine uptime, part quality and tool life.
