Optical Metrology Sensor’s Working Distance Enables Various Applications
Optical Gaging Products (OGP), a division of Quality Vision International (QVI), introduces its RP1500 Rainbow Probe optical measurement sensor.
Optical Gaging Products (OGP), a division of Quality Vision International (QVI), introduces its RP1500 Rainbow Probe optical measurement sensor. This sensor provides high-resolution non-contact measurement by analyzing the optical spectrum of reflected light to measure surface height changes. The probe can characterize transparent, translucent, fragile, liquid or easily deformable surfaces.
The RP1500’s 32-mm working distance and axial resolution of 40 nm enable a variety of measurement applications. The probe barrel is relatively small and is deployable under program control, making it easy to combine with other measurement sensors on a single metrology system, the company says. It is compatible with QVI Zone3, MeasureMind 34 Multisensor and VMS metrology software platforms.
