SMTCL Americas is presenting the EVC160100s vertical turning center, designed for turning in a variety of materials including cast iron, aluminum, steel and composites. According to the company, the EVC160100s was designed based on the needs of manufacturers in the aerospace, rail and energy industries.

The VTC features a 55" chuck, a swing of 63" and a Z-axis travel measuring 39", and has a 60-hp motor. The FANUC 0i-TF control includes a 10" screen and USB, PCMIA and Ethernet interfaces. Additional features include Heidenhain scales, a toolchanger and a chip conveyor.
