The Microgage is a 3D desktop CMM designed for reliability and thermal stability. The CMM has repeatability of 0.7 µm and scale resolution of 0.1 µm. Its fixed-bridge design uses a moving stage for the Y axis. The CMM's XYZ travels are 150 × 225 × 125 mm, with precision linear bearings in the X and Y axes and instrument roller bearings in the Z axis. Accuracy is intrinsic; error mapping and volumetric error compensation are not used. The machine is capable of dimensional inspection, scanning and reverse engineering. It uses the company's Geomet CMM Metrology Software and motion control, which provides operators with control over geometric measurement, analysis and programming.
