At the recent Amerimold expo, I spoke with Gary Bailey of XLAForm about a fast moldmaking process that doesn’t rely on machining. The process involves creating the mold tooling on a prototyping machine such as a ZPrinter, then infusing this 3D printed tool to make it strong enough for injection molding. As Mr. Bailey explains in the video, turnaround time can be a couple of days.
