Matsuura Will Become Master Importer

The company is changing the way its machines reach the United States.

As of April 1, 2013, Matsuura Machinery USA, a subsidiary of Matsuura Machinery Corporation (Fukui City, Japan), will become the master importer of Matsuura machining centers in the United States, a role that was previously filled by Methods Machine Tools (Sudbury, Massachusetts). Matsuura will market and support its equipment through locally appointed U.S. dealers.

To support this change, the company is constructing a 40,000-square-foot facility in St. Paul, Minnesota, set to open within the first quarter of 2013. The building will include a showroom and demonstration area, storage, administrative offices and a support center, and will serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters. A spindle repair facility will be added later this year.
