3D Systems will feature the ProJet MJP 2500 Series, the latest addition to the company’s MultiJet Printing line, at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) held September 12-17, 2016, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Engineered to deliver detailed, true-to-CAD parts, this MultiJet series provides best-in-class fidelity and part accuracy, enabling a broader range of professionals to create precision parts without leaving their workplace.

The ProJet MJP 2500 Series combines professional grade 3D printing capabilities with an affordable, office-friendly footprint and easy part processing. As part of 3D Systems’ end-to-end solutions, the ProJet MJP 2500 Series is ideal for functional prototyping, rapid tooling and design communication, with both durable and elastomeric materials to help users achieve a more versatile and nimble workflow. The series’ durable materials are perfect for rigorous testing, snap-fit parts and assemblies and functional use, delivering exceptional surface finishes that look and feel like injection-molded plastic. Its elastomeric materials deliver rubber-like parts, providing pliability, strength and full elastic recovery.

The ProJet MJP 2500 Series uses melt-away wax supports and 3D Systems’ MJP EasyClean System to bypass post-processing complications that could otherwise lead to damaged or broken parts. With this system, geometries and details of any size or structure can be flawlessly and repeatedly produced without delays or waste, helping shorten design cycle times and lower development costs. The MJP EasyClean System is hands-off, chemical-free, and does not require waterlines or special disposal considerations.

The MJP 2500 Series also uses 3DSprint software, 3D Systems’ integrated platform for printability checks, file repair, build time and material estimation, optimal part positioning and print queue management. By improving and accelerating today’s engineering workflow, the ProJet MJP 2500 Series helps businesses and engineers test concepts faster and more frequently for more innovation and better final products.

3D Systems will feature displays at two IMTS booths. North Building, Hall B, N-68 will feature the company’s wide range of design-to-manufacturing hardware and software. South Building, S-9119 will highlight 3D printing technologies.
