QC Industries says its Flextrac Plastic Chain belt conveyors’ ability to quickly move heavy loads over long distances make them an alternative to standard flat-belt conveyors. With load capacities of 500 lbs and speeds as fast as 375 fpm, the conveyors offer a standard length of 30' as well as optional sizes as long as 100'. With 2.41" profile (3.03" at the drive end), the conveyors can fit in tight quarters.
Widths range from 4" to 24" with various side-profile options for product containment. Each conveyor features wear strips and center supports for long belt life and quiet operation. Featuring a permanent, micro-poly lubricant that eliminates the need for periodic lubrication, the company’s lube-for-life bearings are said to make the conveyors virtually maintenance free.
More than 100 styles of 1" pitch belting are offered, including flush-grid or flat-top styles in various materials ranging from polypropylene with an anti-microbial additive to a high-temperature composite. Available specialty belts include roller-top belts for accumulation, high-friction belts and nub-top belts for easy product release. Various accessories, including sides, guides, mounts, stands, drive packages and controls, allow the conveyors to be adapted to virtually any application, the company says.
