Available on all of Fanuc’s R-J3iC controllers, the iRVision robotic vision package is designed to eliminate the need to combine a separate vision system with a robot’s controller. The system operates with only a camera and cable that plug into a dedicated vision port on the robot’s main CPU. No additional processing hardware is required. The system features a 2D robot guidance tool for part location, error proofing and other operations that normally require special sensors or custom fixtures, the company says.
